Climbing New Heights

Climbing New Heights

Climbing New Heights is an awesome climbing facility located in Martinsburg, WV.  Open seven days a week, they offer a variety of classes and guides for any level.

The gym and guide service is co-owned by Chris Price of Harper’s Ferry, WV and Jordyn Truax of Williamsport, MD. Like me, Chris is an Air Force veteran and the lead guide for the guide services. Jordyn is the lead instructor for the indoor programs and classes.

Both are passionate about climbing and the local outdoor community around the Harper’s Ferry and general Martinsburg area.

Indoor Climbing Gym & Climbing Classes

Whether you want to refine your bouldering skills or get started in the sport, Jordyn has something for you.  The facility hosts a variety of classes for kids, teens, and adults.  With a different class to match your skill level almost every day.

The facility boasts 14 foot bouldering routes, 15 top rope climbing walls that are constantly rotate to provide fresh routes, and an auto belay system which allows climbers to ascend up to 26 feet without the need for a belayer.

Climbing New Heights also offers several training tools like: the Moon Board bouldering system wall; small, medium, and large campus rungs; HIIT strips; crack training systems; and pull up bar/grip training station.

Guided Rock Climbing Trips

Chris is somebody that I should have known 10+ years ago when I first climbed Seneca Rocks.  Fresh back from my first deployment and feeling invincible, I decided to try the mountain without any gear or real experience.  Looking back on how stupid of a choice that was… All I can say is.  Don’t be me, hire a guide…

Climbing New Heights will lead you up Seneca Rocks and other beautiful crags in West Virginia in a safe manner for an experience you won’t soon forget.  A little adrenaline, a good workout, and a lot of great views.  What more could you ask for?
