SMOKE HOLE CANYONS

Now a show cave, Smoke Hole Caverns was once used by moonshiners during Prohibition.
SENECA CAVERNS
Owned by the same family for almost 200 years, Seneca Caverns was finally opened to the public in 1930 after ownership changed hands. While the tour has quite a few steps, it’s child friendly with walkways through the cavern.
SENECA SHADOWS CAMPGROUND
Seneca Shadows Campground, a popular place to camp if climbing Seneca Rocks, overlooks Seneca Rocks and is surrounded by mountains on both the east and west.
BIG BEND CAMPGROUND
Big Bend Campground is a family-oriented campground along a bend on the South Branch Potomac River in Smoke Hole Canyon. With its convenient position on the river, the campground creates a recreation hub for fishing, tubing, kayaking, and swimming.
