The Sweeter Side Of The Feud Distillery

The Sweeter Side Of The Feud Distillery

Many West Virginia families have their own Moonshine recipes. If you’re in the mood to learn about one of America’s most famous feuds or try some of Devil Anse Hatfield’s shine recipe, you’re in luck.

The Sweeter Side Of The Feud Distillery (owned by the great grandson of Devil Anse himself) opened up their doors in 2014 claiming to sell the same moonshine recipe that the Hatfields were running 100 years ago.

The moonshine is branded with famous family members of the feud. If moonshine is too strong for you, don’t worry, they also run a winery onsite.

The wine labeling might throw you off if you don’t know the origins of the feud. 150 years ago, the family feud that caused many unneeded deaths, originated over a stolen pig.
